Kupari

It lies on the slopes of the small hill, beside large sand beach, eight kilometers from Dubrovnik. It used to be the production center for bricks and tile ("kupa") that gave the present name to the village. Near the village, in the field, is the fortified house called Toreta, built by Orsat Đurđević in 1623 for defense against the pirate attacks.
