Ploce

The small town and port on the coast of the Neretva Channel, five kilometers north from the mouth of the river Neretva and 23 kilometers from Metković. The railroad connects Ploče with Sarajevo, via Metković and Mostar. There is the ferryboat line between Ploče and Trpanj on the peninsula Pelješac. The fishing on the river Neretva and its delta is very attractive. There are modern harbor facilities built in the town.
