Pirovac

The town 23 kilometers from Šibenik. It lies in the deep Pirovac bay and has picturesque coves (Stinica, Vrulje, Vrilo, Makrina) with beautiful beaches. The town was mentioned for the first time in 1298 as Zlosela, and the present name was given to it between the first and second World Wars. It has partially preserved defense wall from 1505 and the parish church of St. Juraj from 1506. On the small island of St. Stjepan (Sustipinac), there is the archaeological site from the Roman period.
