LAVSA, an island in the open sea range of the Kornati archipelago, between Piskera in the north-west and Gustac and Klobucar in the south-east; area 1.65 sq km; elevation 111 m. Chief occupations are farming, growing of vines and olives. The deep inlet in the northern part of the island is the harbour of the temporary settlement of Lavsa. The island features the remains of a Roman saltern.
