Located 9.5 kilometers from Makarska. People work in tourism and fishing, and also grow vineyards, cherries and figs. The surrounding area is wooded and there are also gravel beaches. As numerous finds suggest, the settlement was inhabited already in antiquity. Present settlement was formed at the beginning of the 18th century.
