Grohote

The main settlement on the island, at some distance from the sea. The finds from the Bronze Age were discovered north from the village, on the site Brda. There are traces of the Roman buildings and mosaics in the village. Near the parish church you can see the basis of the Early Christian basilica of St. Stjepan from the 6th - 7th century.
