SUSAC, an island 23 km west of the island of Lastovo and 27 km southeast of Vis; area 4.6 sq km; population 7. The only place on the island is Susac. It is covered predominantly by the forest of Aleppo pine and macchia. Larger coves include Triscavac, Dol, Dobri Bok, Velji Kolac, etc. Smaller inlets on the southern coast, protected from the northerly and westerly winds, are used as shelter for fishing boats; the Portic Cove has a 40m-long beach. The sea around the island is rich in fish. There is a lighthouse on the island. >
