Island Rava
RAVA, an island in the Zadar archipelago, between Dugi Otok in the west and Iz in the east; area 3.6 sq km (length 4.8 km, width up to 1.4 km); popu-lation 120; the highest peak Babikovac (98 m). The island is partly covered with underbrush and holm oaks. The coast is indented with numerous coves (Tanko, Lokvina, Paladinica, Marinica). The village of Rava is situated in the interior of the island. Chief occupations are farming, growing of vines and olives, fishing and tourism. Ferry lines connect the island with Zadar and the island of Iz. Rava is a frequent destination of excursionists, especially boaters. In its vicinity is the attractive cove of Telascica.
