Baska
The pictoresque town and harbour on the south-east part of the island, at the end of Bašćanska draga. It is exposed to both jugo and bura (from the Senj Channel). Beside working in wineyards and vegetable gardens, the people work in tourism and fishing. Baška has about 2 kilometers long gravel beach and that is one of the most famous swimming beaches. Mary" by F. Jurčić from 1724. A kilometer from Baška, in Jurandvor, there is the early Romanesque Benedictine church of St.Lucija, built around 1000.
