Nerezine
The small town and port on the eastern coast of the northern part of the island, on the road that connects Lošinj, via Cres, with the mainland. For the first time, this settlement was mentioned in the 14th century. The Franciscan monastery with the church and cloister from 1510 is the pious endowment of the Draža family from Osor. The renaissance belfry was built in 1590. The altar painting is the work of Girolamo de Santacroce, and the painting "Our Lady with the Child" was done by the unknown Venetian master from the 15th century.
