Kamporf

The place in Kamporska Draga, six kilometers north-west from Rab. In the St. Eufemija bay there is a Francuscan monastery with a church from 1458. You can also see the older Romanesque church of St. Eufemija after which the bay and the monastery were named. The Gothic monastery church of St. Bernardin was restored in the baroque style in the 16th century. In the cloister of the monastery there is a collection of stone monuments with Roman, Old - Croatian and late medieval epigraphic and architectural fragments. There is also the sarcophagus of the founder of the monastery Nauda Budrišic from the end of the 15th century. The monastery has a collection of illuminated manuscripts from the 14th and 15th centuries and a few incunabula. On the promontory Kaštelina, there are the remains of a large Roman villa rustica (walls and mosaics).
