Kraljevica
Small town, port and summer resort in the Bakar bay. Connected with the island of Krk by the Krk Bridge. In the 16th century it was known as part of Hreljin, at that time owned by the Frankopan family. In the 17th century, the princes from the Zrinski family built a large baroque castle (Stri grad) and the Frankopan family built the other luxurious later renaissance castle (Novi grad). In 1728, Emperor Karlo VI built two kilometers long harbor and shipyard, the oldest in Croatia. The most attractive tourist ports are the cove Grabrova and peninsula Oštro.
