Prezid
PREZID, a village in the region of Gorski Kotar, 8 km northwest of Cabar; elevation 764 m; population 936. Chief occupations include farming and wood processing. Situated on the regional road Delnice - Cabar - Croatian-Slovenian border. In the Roman times there was the Liburnian Limes - a defensive barrier to protect the borders of the Roman Empire. Prezid is known for its well-preserved original profane architecture, enjoying protection as national heritage. The village has the Native Collection including archaeological and ethnographic artefacts; the remains of the old wooden aqueduct of Prezid represent a special exhibit. Situated in a valley at the foot of the mountain peaks Kozji Vrh - vista point, Krivi Vrh, Prezid has all the prerequisites for developing mountain and hunting tourism. Border crossing with the Republic of Slovenia.
