It is located at the central part of Gorski kotar, at the altitude of 700-900 meters. It is famous center of wood industry, but it is also attractive to those tourists that love nature, mountaineering, hunting, or caving. In Stara Sušica, there is the town-castle of the Frankopan family that is turned in the resort. The church of St. Antun of Padova is also a part of the castle, while the church of St. Tereza of Avill has many valuable monuments in its treasury.
